Oil companies oppose President’s Advice
Posted on Friday, July 30, 2010 in oil
Though Obama wants oil companies to reduce oil consumption so that the renewable energy supplies can be increased and the carbon- di- oxide emission can also be cut, the oil companies are reluctant to follow this. The oil companies think that reducing oil consumption is not possible. Royal Dutch shell has plans to freeze its investments in other form of energy like wind, solar and hydrogen power and is planning o focus its alternative energy research on bio fuels. BP is getting back to petroleum and also paring back its renewable program. Many other oil companies are also ignoring the new messages from Washington.
