Russia’s Super Rich Hit by Financial Crisis

The financial status of Russia’s top 100 richest men has been hit so badly by recession that their net worth has dropped to the level it was five years ago in 2004. Russia had the more than a 100 billionaires with all the richest men in the world, second only to the United States, before the economic crisis. But recession has drastically reduced the number of billionaires to a mere 32, according to the Russian version of the Forbes magazine. The net worth of Russia’s 100 richest men was 520 billion dollars in 2008 and it has now dwindled to a mere 142 billion dollars due to the financial crunch this year.
